The PBR soaked sound coming from Deaf Poets is not only bending palm trees but also breaking expectations. The Miami duo, Sean Wouters and Nicolas Espinosa, has been making stiff-necked locals’ heads bob and creating quite a stir. Deaf Poets’ music has the starkness of a garage rock band combined with the eagerness of a punk 80’s band. The eager verve of each stringed note and ride cymbal hit has got me believing all their lies. Will you too?
